| | The aluminum we use to manufacture our castings consists of 87% pure aluminum, 12% silicon and 1% iron and copper to ensure maximum strength. A product of lesser quality normally is made of 50% aluminum and 50% zinc. Molten aluminum is injected into steel molds (dies) at 750 tons of pressure. This high-pressure die-cast process vents all the weakening gasses which are inherent in any molding process, thereby providing strength and exceptionally clean reproduction of every detail from the master die in every part. Each molded part then undergoes a five stage phosphate cleaning process which results in maximum adhesion of the painting surface. State of the art powder coat finish is then electro-statically applied at 3-4 mm thickness and oven baked at 350° (Verde and Rust colorations are hand applied over Black). Finally, the "Made-in-Italy" hang tag of design and engineering is proudly attached. |
